i knew about this place before my first year in the city was over. Mun brought me here, and I never went to this place without her. it is a very special place for both of us.
so last 26th of December we were bound to come back again just to pay thanksgiving to the year 2011. we both have been through so many obstacles and we are happy they are almost over.
you know, the day after Christmas I expected most people to be somewhere else and not at a bus station going to the province. it was very crowded and the line was up to the entrance. and to add to that a girl from the line just puked all the water from her stomach. it was an eeewww moment, but poor girl..
anyway so we decided not to push through. and one day we’d be thankful we didn’t.
came wednesday, the 28th, we arrived earlier and we were on the first row at the bus. weee!
soon we won’t have to ride the bus anymore! we are going to buy a car! weeee!
i’m going to post pictures in a while, because it’s hard to do it through a text post somehow.
anyway, back to the Caleruega visit - we had a really great time. we thought first about staying overnight at a local hotel because the traffic on the way was sickening (it took three and a half hours). in the beginning i just wanted to go back home. then we came across a chapel and i realized why we went all the way there in the first place. Mun and i decided that once we arrive at Caleruega we will be at peace and will most probably want to take the next bus home and not come back to the hotel. So off we went.
of course the only thing disappointing is probably the wedding. i am happy for the couple but the Transfiguration Chapel is off limits when there is a wedding and i think the visit is incomplete without praying to that secluded place. good thing at past 5 the wedding was done.
thank you God for giving us a complete visit this time. i am very happy that i visited this place again with Mun. We found a bus which could drop us at 5-10 minutes from home and it was a steady and peaceful bus ride.
